Definitions #
tenpo kulupu pi toki pona lon ma Amelika lete LLC (“the LLC”) is a single-member LLC registered in Delaware. The LLC’s sole member is Preston “jan Peton” Firestone.
Working language #
The primary internal working language of the LLC is Toki Pona. The LLC uses English when the vagueness of Toki Pona is an inconvenience (for example for defining food allergies), to comply with regulations, and to interact with external suppliers.
Mission #
The LLC holds provides financial infrastructure for gatherings of the speakers of the constructed language Toki Pona in North America. It provides guests at events with housing, dining, and activities. In 2026, our gathering is in New York City from the 19th to the 22nd of June. Sign up here.

Refunds, restrictions, and disputes #
In case of a dispute or cancellation, the LLC will provide a full refund for the quantity of money paid. Payment to the LLC constrains the LLC to provide the housing, food, and other services agreed to at the time of payment. No guarantees are made as to the individual safety of participants nor to the quality of services provided. All participation in events hosted by the LLC is at the participant’s own risk. The LLC is not liable for any injury, damage, loss, misery, or pain. The LLC’s primary recourse in the case of complaint is a refund of up to the full price paid by the complainer.
Only those of at least 18 years of age may sleep in housing provided by the LLC. Minors may enter the housing to socialize and dine, in which case the LLC may charge a fee for the food consumed.
In the event of any harassment or assault, the aggressor will be immediately expelled from the gathering without a refund. If the recipient of the aggression agrees that further action is necessary, the aggressor may be prohibited from attending future events, removed from the LLC’s Discord, or reported to local laaw enforcement.
Profits and payment #
The LLC is not structured as a not-for-profit entity from the perspective of the IRS, due to its size. Nevertheless, the LLC’s mission is not to make profit. Members of the LLC shall not withdraw money from the LLC’s funds for their own use. No labor provided to the LLC by members shall be remunerated.
